Conductive Textiles

Conductive Fibre

  • Beraert

Bekaert continuously searches, develops, produces and markets industrial textile solutions
to problems of electrical conductivity and extreme temperature resistance, mainly under
mechanical load. Bekaert uses metal fibres in a broad range of products for antistatic and/or electrically conductive
textiles and in heat resistant knitted, woven, braided or needlepunched fabrics. It plays a
world-class role on these markets, thanks to its commitment to meet market needs combined
with advanced manufacturing and development facilities.

Shielding Textiles

Susmic® high voltage line garments provide protection against electric fields.
Thanks to the high conductivity of the Bekinox® fibres :
- they are ideally suited for electromagnetic shielding textiles
- they provide a long lifetime to the textile thanks to their excellent wash resistance

Heatable Textiles

BEKINOX® filament yarns are integrated in heatable textiles, providing safe, comfortable heating.
E.g. : heatable blankets, heatable jackets

Special development and production of covered elastic and technical yarns (Aramide, glass, steel,
carbon, etc.) for various needs: Cut-proof, stab-proof and tensile strength yarns, Protective yarns, Antistatic yarns, Isolating yarns,
Antiballistic yarns, Yarns used for transport.

Yarns shielding from UV rays and electrical smog - Zimsi-Eblocker is a textile combination thread
that combines excellent protective characteristics with a textile look and grip.

Uses: Cellphone protection, Leisure time and sport, Protection for electro-senstive people,
Clothing and equipment.

In addition, we offer special production of elastic yarns (e.g. yarns for baggage labeling, ski carts
or other reinforcement purposes).

  • James Dewhurst

James Dewhurst has been manufacturing for 70 years
during which time it has consistently adopted "best practice"
business methodologies and continuously invested in
developing technologies which would help to shape
its future.

LAID SCRIM
Dewtex® is the name we have given to a revolutionary process
we developed and patented worldwide in which yarns are "laid"
over one another and then bonded together by a range of
chemical adhesives.

SPUNBONDED
The most recent product in our range is the Spunbonded
nonwovens. These are manufactured with 100% polypropylene
or polyester continuous filaments that is thermobonded
without chemical binders.
